Our Services

Meter Testing

Reed and Shows Meter Solutions uses volumetric and ultrasonic testing equipment to assure that our customer’s meters are registering accurately. If the test results indicate that the meter is not in conformity to the accuracy standards established by the American Water Works Association (AWWA), then our technicians will repair and recalibrate the meter to assure AWWA accuracy compliance. In 2019, our highly trained technicians tested over 6,000 water meters ranging in size from 2”- 20”. In addition, we have a certified test bench with a 10 gallon and 100 gallon tank to test meters ranging in size from 5/8”- 2”.

Meter Installation

Our company installs meters in size from 5/8” – 20”. We have fulfilled numerous contracts implementing AMI systems for municipalities throughout the southeast. In regards to large water meters, our company has the equipment and knowledge to replace the valves and install the meter, vault and the backflow device. We strive on being a turnkey company that can handle the entire installation of any and all water meters and accessories.

Consultation

Reed and Shows Meter Solutions will provide analysis of our customer’s water meter system as a whole. We will assure that the meters that are installed are the correct meters for their application. The incorrect type of meter or meter size will lead to water loss and consequently cause a loss in revenue. We understand that selling water is not cheap and that in order to be an efficient water system you must try to capture every drop.
